I’m a lipstick girl. I don’t have an expansive lipstick collection YET, but I’m getting there. So it’s a no-brainer for me to walk out of Urban Decay’s flagship store in KLCC with one of their Matte Revolution Lipsticks.
Ever since finding out that Urban Decay has opened their flagship store in KLCC, I’ve been wanting to go there, specially since I just learnt some great techniques from the VANITYMAKEUP, I can’t wait to try them out. I know for a fact that I needed a new lipstick to replace my MAC Captive. I loved that one, I still do, I just thought, perhaps it’s time for a new everyday lip colour. Why not try one of UD’s lipsticks?
I got the shade in After Dark. It’s a deep berry-toned colour that looks somewhat purpley too. This feels amazing from the first swipe. It’s so opaque, and the colour payoff was A++. For a matte lipstick, this doesn’t feel matte at all. Meaning, it doesn’t dry out my lips, or make it look like I have uber chapped lips.
I’m pretty sure the lipstick has a staining effect on my lips. I applied it at 7.30am when I was getting ready to go to work and when I came back home at 7pm, the colour’s still on my lips. That’s after breakfast, lunch and some snacks in between. This product’s staying power is definitely A++ for me. It’s definitely better than most lipsticks I own.
The Urban Decay Matte Revolution Lipstick has become my new favourite lipstick formula, next to NARS’ Audacious ones.
So, would I repurchase this in another shade? HECK. YES.
